I think that The Beatles finally freed themselves from that obsession with the long playing in August 1966, Revolver, which is entirely dedicated to sophisticated songwriting. The album, extremely polished, is an even "lighter" version of its predecessor. Another psychedelic track, Tomorrow Never Knows (sitar, backward guitar, organ drones), another Eastern-influenced piece, Love You To, one even with classical echoes, Eleanor Rigby, an operetta-vaudeville air, Good Day Sunshine, and the rhythm and blues of Got To Get You Into My Life and Dr. Robert, are softened by an increasingly languid and romantic attitude. The few rhythmic jolts are quickly tempered by the tender effusions of I'm Only Sleeping (featuring a backward guitar solo), Here There And Everywhere, and For No One.

For Kandinsky, white is the color of nothingness before birth, and black is that of nothingness after death.

Probably one of the best Caz: that "you lost it," "nonsense," that "gaggio" so full of meanings... I feel like I'm at home. Which, in fact, I am.
