It’s true that the pop and easy listening attitude of Marillion is evident, but Fish’s lyrics possess a complexity and beauty that are truly unique!! It was definitely not an accident!! It’s true that there are derivative aspects in the genre, and yes, there are similarities in certain melodic lines, especially those typical of Genesis, not to mention Fish's singing style, but Marillion certainly expressed something deeply emotional during those years!! The IQ, however... this album is passable, but the subsequent ones will always and in any case be a copy (sometimes poorly executed...) of the earlier works! Ideas are lacking, and so are emotions! :D And what about this matter of complexity-masterpiece and pop/easy listening-high chart placement (so commercial stuff...) -why are IQ's works not made to sell!?!? Or do they only play for glory!?

I'm making a general statement, so I'm not referring directly to Splinter, but where have all the emotions gone!? Instrumentation, technicality, melodies, everything is fine, but what happened to the emotional impact!? I mean, a Dream album feels sterile and empty like Valerio Scanu's song (far l'amore in tutti i luoghi, in tutti i modi in tutti i laghi!!). I quote Fedezan, of course not knowing if Splinter already listens to music other than metal or progressive-metal :D I hope for him that his tastes are much broader!!

Son Art, dear, I write what I want and, among other things, I never think I've offended you directly by calling you a jerk!! I reiterate that I rate the records I want even if I've never listened to them!! I mean, what problem does this create for you? Just don't consider me, right!? :D Do you want me to use my words!? I didn't like the review at all; it was childish and pointless! You filled it with continuous comparisons and parallels to the music of other bands, which made it feel heavy and pedantic! The album is pointless in all its brutishness, but this already touches on my personal tastes, and my opinion might annoy you, so to avoid further offenses, I won't continue... My intention is not a personal attack against you because if you look closely at Roberto Angelini's review, I don't think I've done that! :D

Let me understand, Tizio writes a review of an album and publishes it here on Debaser, where I seem to recall it's possible to express a judgment from 1 to 5. Caio reads the review, hates it, and decides to give it a one, actually reiterating it in three comments (which I face, sorry Son Art!). Where's the problem!?
