Ahah Frankie, the best ones, in my opinion, are "Too catchy to be artistic" and "Too artistic to be catchy." I'll save them for the first useful occasion :) Bye.

Italian Alternative Rock Cultured... what’s that, some kind of Controlled Origin? My goodness, what ugliness. First of all, it needs explaining what Afterhours could possibly have of cultured, musically and otherwise, and it would yield some interesting insights. Then there’s the explanation of why Teatro should be considered a cultured band. Why? Because Paolo talks about Ken Saro-Wiwa and ever since the album went streaming, most have turned him into a poet, when he wrote everything (essays, novels, short stories, and obviously poems)? Or is it because they cite Antonin Artaud in their name? If that’s the case, Paolo has been talking about these things for a long time; in 1000 Doses of Love he spoke about Celine. Anyway, if that’s your measure, you should be ashamed. If Ken Saro or Artaud are enough for you to perceive something as cultured, you’re a blank sheet of paper upon which anything can be written. The truth is that they now need to be liked, because whoever spreads the information has given the okay, and immediately these people show up who might have barely listened to Afterhours, and then come the reviews in crappy magazines like XL comparing them to Kings of Leon and Arctic Monkeys. Obviously, the records they produce are great, but those who consume them diminish their essence. The truth is that Teatro is essentially a national-popular group that wants to reach everyone (and from here you can also understand the homage to Ken Saro-Wiwa, who was critical of the reality of his nation)... and this is neither good nor bad. The problem is that 90% of that 'everyone' wouldn't even understand it if you twisted their head and shoved the clean concept in. Well, it’s music. Have fun.

No, it's not the great revolutionary-avanguard masterpiece that many claim it to be. In fact, there was no one playing like that before, and today there are countless clones. Such is life.

It must be really sad and depressing to be a musician at a certain level and hear, from an idiot who until yesterday was listening to Donatella Rettore and Stadio, a "Well done, guys" as if his encouragement was needed after years and years of hard work. Or "they are like a more biting Afterhours," which is stuff for a collection of nonsense. Poor them. But how annoying are these people who listen to them, then. Things were better when they were worse, when there were thirty people at a concert, but at least you were almost sure you weren't sitting next to an amoeba. Come on, just listen to the Afterhours.

Eh, now they're getting into debt. Nett of the debts, in Italy, only Napoli would play.

"for and it’s already alienating and monotonous after 2 minutes" Eh, but you need some physical stamina :) Just kidding, but it’s a bit true. Come on, give this record to someone who starts from scratch and it's not guaranteed they'll understand anything. Like Joyce's Ulysses. Yes, strange, but what does it mean!?! A little dedication, though, and it’ll blow your mind. The thing, as I see it, is that there are records made to be delivered to absolute beauty, and anyone can grasp those (In The Court comes to mind, just to name one), and there are those records that completely disregard beauty and aim straight for the absolute... like this one or the first Faust. That said, if someone doesn't like it, so be it. No one has to force themselves.

One of my favorite albums, but you should have included Metal Box, which is more of a fetish. "If 'albatross' lasted 3/4 minutes it might be a little gem, as it is now! tedious and monotonous" ...heh Muffi, if it were shorter it wouldn't become alienating/monotonous :)

Well done. Instead, the conservatory in my city is beautiful. They have lessons with the windows open, you sit underneath while everyone has their own lesson, and in the end, it feels like you're hearing Faust. Great record, 4 because there are a couple of theirs that I like much more than this one. Well done again.

Beautiful quote by Stirner. How much we need someone to raise the bar a little. Added to favorites.
