Very, very good review, especially in the introduction. They are definitely a tough group. The Tex Willer of rock.
Ugly Kid Joe America's Least Wanted

I have always seen them as a time-adapted version of Mötley Crüe. I don’t see major crossover attempts; I could be wrong because I haven't listened to them in a while. Surely "Cats in the cradle" and "Everything about you" were great tracks. In the end, they came out in the wrong period; if they had released their work five years earlier, things would have been different. Ratings are 4.5 and 3.5, rounded up. Good job!

@fede: how strange from you to give this album a 3. I believe that BOC are phenomenal live. They deliver an energy that few other bands can provide. Like with Kansas, I find them definitely stronger live than in the studio. Personally, I also prefer this E.T.L. to the earlier ones, which are, however, just as valid.
Kansas Two for the Show
Voto:
@macaco: Kansas deserve to be heard. @pibroch: de-auguri first of all. And indeed "Point of know return" is a great album, like all the early Kansas. @fede: I’m also very picky about live albums, that’s a certainty. The thing is, Kansas live are amazing and definitely better than on record. Trust me.

A bit difficult for my progressive tastes, although undeniably excellent musicians. You write very well as always, but in this specific review, you talk too little about the album. Just one little flaw. One moment...

Ah ah ah! "When what wants to cross my anal opening is such a jerk that it feels like stone and makes me sweat hot pink droplets from my forehead while mephitic airs burn my nasal mucous membranes." Let me tell you that Bukowski is giving you quite a hand job! Big heart! I don't know the album very well, but I remember that I didn't dislike them at all. When are the Quireboys coming???
Alphaville Forever Young
Voto:
Here come the memories today! Huge Alphaville. "Sounds Like A Melody" was my favorite song as a child. By the way, I have a collection of their best songs and I’m not ashamed to say that I still play it in the car radio every once in a while.

What an absolute blast this game is!!! And what a memory of youth... You deserve the highest praise just for reminding me of it.
Fates Warning Perfect Symmetry

I knew that sooner or later someone would steal this from me. I had already started it, but I was never satisfied... You saved me from embarrassment with a flawless review. From my point of view, this is the best album by Fates Warning. The only tiny flaw is that you didn't mention the wonderful "Chasing Time," an absolute gem of this album. Other than that, nothing to say. You did a great job, and so did they. I saw them live supporting Dream Theater, great concert.
