Enrico Brizzi Bastogne
Voto:
Brizzi: a mediocre writer who has penned a couple of nice little books and pretends to embody the spirit of the '90s. Pathetic and hard to tolerate in his appearances on MTV for shows like "The Most."
I read the book some time ago and hardly remember anything about it.
It certainly doesn’t evoke A Clockwork Orange...

... "tutto il panorama totale" I don't think is Italian, sorry.

the best album by blind guardian... you can only give it a 5, but only if it's contextualized strictly within the power/epic genre and not in the entire landscape of music.

@ commento 208... sometimes staying silent makes a better impression than opening your mouth...

The focus of the Cynic was a jewel; their latest album (30 minutes of music after 15 years...) is its sterile, poor imitation. (translated in a Stoney way: the latest one sucks big time)

@bartle: look, I've listened to only metal for years too (Helloween, Gamma Ray, Blind Guardian, Cradle, Angra, Dark Tranquillity, In Flames, Dream Theater, Rhapsody (sig...), etc...) but I've never managed to listen to Running Wild. Anyway, I completely understand why you moved on to something else since I've had a similar journey. Congrats again on the review. My favorite from Rage was "And of All Days" (I think it was called that), maybe one day I'll review Rough Silk.

"I believe, however, that many of the criticisms currently directed at the genre (and its listeners) lose their validity when referred to many of the older productions. Firstly, because, at least until the early '90s, the Germanic power metal was a genre that had not yet become mired in the incessant rehashing of its own canons." TRUE, VERY TRUE! BUT, THERE'S A BUT... HOW DO YOU GO FROM STONER TO THIS STUFF... BECAUSE, AFTER ALL, IT IS JUST STUFF...

"For me that quote has a true and DEEP meaning"... yes, you are right, nothing useful will come out of a conversation between the two of us. Regards and kisses.

One last thing... everything started because you contested me that they were the best page of Italian history from 39 to 45... okay, you’re right, they weren’t. Tell me, what was better during that period?
