If Mastodon are one of the best bands in today's metal scene, metal is in worse waters than in the nineties (which is saying something). However, I must confess that I've only listened to their latest album, and from what I've read above, it seems to me that it's not their best work.

I usually appreciate your writing style, but this one was really too easy to be evaluated (by the way, you mentioned the few songs by the drimtiater that are worth mentioning... you could have cited others... I have to say that when I saw it on the homepage I was worried, thinking another one was already coming, then I saw the author and it all became clear to me even before reading it :-) ).

As usual, nice music from J Ax. Pleasant but nothing more, definitely not a one.

Silvio Berlusconi L'Italia Che Ho In Mente

I say to leave because life is hard: the army patrols the streets (and since the news broadcasts practically only talk about crime, rapes, and assaults, either the military are useless or there is disinformation... or both...), it's impossible to find a permanent job (unless the company you work for has fewer than 16 employees, which means your temporary contract is practically worthless since they can fire you whenever they want), to buy a house you have to take out forty-year mortgages, the man who represents us is under investigation for 25 lawsuits, the cases he claims to have been acquitted of have actually been closed because the crimes have expired (after x time, if I'm not mistaken x equals 25 years, from the occurrence of a certain crime no investigations or trials can be carried out anymore. (If I'm wrong, anyone who knows more about the law than I do can step forward and correct me)). The same man who leads and represents us is considered worldwide to be the court jester.
These seem like good reasons to go live somewhere else.
If instead you want to stay here to suffer and hope that things change somehow by divine intervention, feel free... if you have any concrete ideas to improve the country, congratulations, you’ll have my full support :-)
One last consideration: coming here on Debaser to prop up Berlusconi is: sad, ridiculous, annoying: a politician shouldn't need such tricks.
And, dear De Lorenzo, don't say you're not a convinced Berlusconian when you sign your introduction page with PDL. Thank you.

@yosif: I'm not the one putting them everywhere; they are like parsley (the reason seems obvious, after all). @giustiziere: however you prefer. Anyway, I don't see how Orange Goblin, Sleep, 35007, Om, Kyuss, Farflung, Ufomammut can seem similar to each other; maybe it's just the usual DEgustibus :-) PS: for the record, doom is not a subgenre of stoner; it's stoner doom that's a subgenre of doom (I don't know how important such a clarification is, but since I'm here, I'll throw it in).

Sure, they may not be particularly summery, but for a cooking lover like you seem to be, it won't matter much (the dish is anelletti alla palermitana).

Oops, my dear, I almost forgot perhaps the most important thing:
Ingredients for 6 people:
500 g of anelletti
4 black eggplants
Approximately 1.5 liters of bolognese-style sauce with peas
500 g of béchamel
200 g of cooked ham
600 g of mozzarella
4 hard-boiled eggs (Catanese version)
Breadcrumbs to taste
Grated pecorino cheese to taste
Procedure:
Cut the eggplants lengthwise, immerse them in water and salt, squeeze out the excess water, and fry them. Meanwhile, in a baking dish, spread some oil, ensuring that every part is well greased; this will help the breadcrumbs adhere later. Once the eggplants are fried, dry them from excess oil and place them on the baking dish. Cook the pasta, leaving it almost raw because it will finish cooking in the oven. Drain it and mix it with the bolognese-style sauce and béchamel, then layer a first portion in the dish, followed by the ham, mozzarella, and finally the pecorino. Cover with the remaining pasta and bake at 180°C for about 25 minutes. Unmold and enjoy!

great review for an excellent album that seemed forgotten by most. We must thank the evergreen sfascacarrozze for having unearthed it, reviewed it, and recommended it. Well done, sfascia, a four no one can take away from you.
