And who is Core-a-Core? << who indeed would listen, for whole months, to a piece (or an entire work) solely for the references to theater or literature? :-) >> On this, the sacred de gustibus applies, that album drives me (not visible, huh?) crazy :) Bye

<< here we talk about theater and literature to legitimize the value of Teatro degli Orrori, when it would be enough to talk about music to discuss a music album >> Lux, I don't want to legitimize a damn thing. If you consider that album ONLY (because it is also, mind you) as an Italian copy of the Lizard, you've grasped only 5% of the album. It's not that you didn't get the message of the album (I don’t want to put myself on any damn pedestal) but simply, right now you can't grasp it. It’s not arrogance; right after, you say you listened to it one and a half times. I don’t even understand what you find absurd about judging an album based on its intellectual pretensions as well. Meaning and signifier should never be separated. Next time let’s have everyone talk about familiar and digested things. Regards, and I’ll wrap it up because I don’t know if the ashanti wanted so much talk about Capovilla in his bar :)

You can already feel a bit of 13 Songs in here, in fact.

The paladins are the Agnelli or the guy with the bangs from Marlene Kuntz. Not Capovilla, come on. I’m not talking about likes/dislikes towards a person, the facts speak for themselves.

For me, Tele, you use the signifier well but deviate a bit on the signified. No one elevates Capovilla to the status of a hero of our supposed alternative scene, and perhaps, in my opinion, you think this because you see three people all together who like him on these pages. He can’t be a false prophet and/or a champion of sweet nothingness because 70% of those who listened to Dell'impero delle tenebre did not understand the message (in fact, they took it for the Italian version of Lizard, and it's easy to see that here). As for his genuineness, let’s put it to the test; send him an email and ask him whatever you want. He replied to me and even offered me a ride in the van to their concert. Try doing the same with Bugo. I repeat, if only we had more musicians like that. By the bucketful.

"If the future of Italian Music is someone like Capovilla, we're in trouble." Why Tele, excuse me?

Come on, are you upset? :) It seems obvious to me that the originality of that album doesn't lie in the purely musical realm. I'm just saying that they've mixed the lesson from the Lizard in a truly innovative way, precisely by trying to blend it with theater and literature. That's it. Or was David Yow also singing lines from Carmelo Bene? :)

Lux, I'm sorry to tell you, but you didn't understand a damn thing about that album by Teatro. It's absolutely fine if you don't like it or if you think it sucks, why not? But you criticize it with the wrong arguments. It's the first album that blends rock (which you call post-hardcore), literature, and, indeed, theater. I repeat, when it comes to taste, absolute relativism applies. However, if you criticize it with these arguments, it seems like you haven't understood the medium and the message.
