I was aware of the dispute regarding Nirvana (by the way, it was my review on "The best band..." - the one you’re referring to - that suffered because some guys came to vote 1 just to mess with me, debaser is full of nasty gangs); anyway, I think we misunderstood the definition of studio/live: I meant works "assembled" in the studio from various live material, if we’re talking about albums recorded live with overdubs that’s another matter, but maybe I’m the one being ambiguous.

MuffinMan, I've heard some other Zappa too, but maybe I didn’t explain myself well; since it’s not a work I would call essential, even though it’s halfway between studio and live (like "The best band..." for example), but being a work that I, as a Zappa listener, would rate 5, I'd prefer to follow the Giustiziere and say "if you’re one without a mustache, feel free to listen but don’t expect the clear and round genius you find in other albums; if you’re one with a mustache, fully enjoy the rearrangements and the gems that are on the record and have a spectacular and bountiful orgasm."
