truly a very beautiful album, less so the review. Regardless of the episodes themselves, it is an album characterized by a care for sound that is nothing short of thrilling.

really beautiful

exaggerated review. I don't think Polly would like it.

@KURT: I wasn't able to explain myself. I'm sorry.

@PRimiBALLI: I didn't understand if your "think anyway about mass quality" is assertive or vocative. Are you inviting me to reflect on mass quality or claiming that I'm only doing that? No, because when it comes to the concept of mass, you're opening a door that's already been swung wide open (canetti docet). I'm more inclined to consider the indistinguishable mass than that which the bard of the new era expects while lounged on his sofa. Unfortunately, those in the music industry have far more on their minds than offering "high" music. However, there are alternative channels; MySpace exists, pub venues that let you play for a two-euro entry fee, people who put their soul into it every day. I'm discovering a lot of people like that. In the end, I want to say that high-quality products don't need to "arrive" — it's us who need to go get them!

@KOSMO: I'm sorry for this synedoche outburst. I'm not angry with anyone in particular; I just question this ear that's always skewed towards the past. @KURTecc.; I don't think I'm able to explain it. I'm talking about a way of writing, about how one knows how to write about man and woman and one's own soul. It's a matter of roles and an almost trans-gender approach in writing lyrics. In short, it's complex. I'm sorry. I can tell you that one of the few who tries to be "denim," albeit only achieving it 20% of the time, is Ligabue (and it's no coincidence that he's a big fan of Springsteen, who is the epitome of high "denim").

but stop it! There is some excellent songwriting even today! The truth is that you are lazy. And anyway, it’s time that cements the quality of certain songs. Let’s rather say that those who expect a new De André or a new De Gregori are looking for a certain kind of "manly" writing that, inevitably, can no longer exist (the times are different, the "color" of the modern solitary adult man is more "melange" rather than "denim"). Bye bye.

In my opinion, we should take the best from everyone and not seek absolutes in just one. I know you, Primiballi, are still anchored to the glories of Fossati, De Gregori, Battiato, etc. But I remind you that, thank goodness, even they produced lesser works (personally, I can tell you that I don’t own any albums by these three and I’m doing just fine without modern p(i)attume). In my 33 years, I continue to love the works of contemporary singer-songwriters, and I encourage them. I know that Bersani can give me that attention to the message-word that few others (some even better than him: Fabi) can provide. If I instead want words that wear down the heart, then I turn to Moltheni or Amor Fou; if I want a voice that pierces the arteries, I listen to Diego Mancino; if I want classy melody, I listen to Venuti; if I want to spit in the face of the world, there’s "Il Teatro". And if I want to manage to talk to today's youth, then I also listen to Ferro, which, given the inherited Mediterranean anemia, does me no harm at all.

I don’t understand a thing about war movies. I mean, all the ones I've liked are either half-baked in everyone else's eyes or just too sentimental (war victims, or "between heaven and earth," also by Stone, even if it's not strictly a war movie). I watched Apocalypse Now when I was 15 at school and fell asleep heavily. I watched Full Metal Jacket recently, and it seems like a great film to me. I haven't seen Platoon, but I don't think I'm interested in watching it. p.s. Very dispensable comment… bye.
