They never told me much, especially her, in my opinion vocally lacking. I'm sorry.

@Zarathustra: it wasn't my intention to describe the album... the time when I wrote, I admit, influenced the character of the review a lot. Rather, I was interested in communicating the "connection with an album." Mango, however, has become quite detestable over time. So I share your comment.

@SAPUTELLO: well, I've made some retro choices.. Dusty Springfield, Tim Buckley, Nick Drake, Aretha Franklin.. I wanted to know everything about them.. also classical Mendelssohn, Schumann, and Chopin.. for the rest, I look ahead with great respect for the past..

@ODRADEK: thanks for the insights on meshell, I will definitely look into it.. as for Hendrix and the covers, I’ll be honest and say that I don’t know much (apart from Voodoo Child and Foxy Lady) and I’m quite reluctant to dive too deep into musical retrospectives (can we say that?).. I mean, he must have been great, but he doesn’t belong to my demographic.. and I believe I can equally enjoy the seeds he planted in the artists who take him as an example today and produce masterful works. This reasoning applies not only to Hendrix (see Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Who, etc).

But can we really call an album in 2008 INCANTESIMI D'AMORE? And write lyrics like: "but love, but my LOVE doesn’t die as long as my HEART beats in my chest? What courage to bring them back. Even if Y. Malmsteen were playing, I would never buy an album containing such trivialities. Come on, I’ll go back to listening to Valeria Rossi; at least she plays with grammar...
