Will I see him? Won't I see him? Will I see him? Won't I see him? TERRIBLE DILEMMA. In the end, I’ve always seen them. But here the premises tell me that he is really asking too much of me. We’ll see.

By the way, you made me really want to listen to them again.

I still think that Blur haven't made a single album that's a 5.

Frankly, among the 3 albums from the golden years of TFF, "Songs from the Big Chair" is the least beautiful. In fact, it sold a ton because it broke through in America, which is known for being easy to please. I find "The Hurting" much more cohesive and intelligent than SFTBC. "The Seeds of Love" is also superior to their most successful album.

@SUPERSOUL: I understand what you mean. The fact that the adjective "uncomfortable" is associated with a nation makes me think of director censorship in China or things like that. English cinema, no matter how uncomfortable, has never had trouble crossing national borders. These are just thematic and stylistic choices. But I don't know, maybe you know more than I do.

@CPT: to tell you the truth, no, I can’t think of anyone comparable to the quality of those years. I can't think of anyone because there is no longer a scene, no sustained buzz around female singer-songwriters. To be honest, I’m not putting in much effort to search for other muses (which surely exist). 10 or 15 years ago, you were presented with endless talents on the covers; there was the Lilith Fair festival, there were the Grammys for Alanis Morissette and Björk's acrobatics. In short, it was a different time. I consider myself lucky because I’ve experienced quite a bit of it, and now I have my beacons. I hope someone recreates a scene and brings to light the more hidden talents who have already produced works better than this. What’s certain is that nowadays I look forward with more excitement to a record by Patrizia Laquidara than one by Tori or Björk. Moreover, I’d say that today the "visible average" of female talents isn’t exactly low. There are surely different perspectives. Lily Allen, for example, is not transcendent, but she writes very intelligently and witty over very easy beats. For me, that's already a surprise.

Well, this album is over 15 years old and ages very well in my opinion. I saw the Milan date of this tour. I've always loved TFF. In the '80s, they made 3 seminal albums for many bands today (according to them: Smashing Pumpkins, Oasis, Blur).
