I shared the stage and an apartment with him a few years ago. Besides his talent, I was surprised by how pleasant he was as a person. Truly lovely. Great musicians are usually like that.

I'm sorry, but I really didn't like it. I like soul and R&B music, and I loved this album back in the day. Madonna tried to shift towards more elegant sounds with the cream of the era (Dallas Austin, Babyface, Meshell Ndegeocello) + a little electronic insert from Björk, who was initially asked to produce the entire album (Björk refused). It's an elegant album, beautifully played, and in my opinion, it has aged much better than Ray of Light (which has never impressed me). Secret, Love Tried to Welcome Me, Take a Bow are great tracks. I'm sorry you didn't understand it. I'm sorry Madonna didn't continue on this path. This, the unreleased tracks from Something to Remember, and Evita represent, in my opinion, the peak of her singing career. I'm telling you as a listener, not as a fan. Bye.

how much I loved "love is here." after that album, many tried to copy the vocal style. this one also has some great tracks interspersed with others that are less impactful. the edited review doesn’t entice me to read it, I’m sorry.

Regarding this album, I remember an episode: my classmate, a true music connoisseur, was torn between this album and Jann Arden's. Not listening to me, she chose Arden's "Insensitive." To be honest, Sheryl Crow has been quite inconsistent, but the singles from this album are truly remarkable.

I discovered her thanks to Deb years ago. She changed my life. I went broke for her vinyl from that era. After her and Joni Mitchell, the others that came later (Cat Power, Feist, etc.) are just nothing. Thank you.

I'm tempted to buy the vinyl not so much for the offering but for the photos inside it. It is said that on that occasion, Diana borrowed jeans from Gia Carangi, the unfortunate supermodel, for whom lately, I have a platonic infatuation.

I wouldn’t have bet on my beloved Suede. Bloodsports seemed like a good comeback, even though it was too reminiscent of the "coming up" era (which, while being the most celebrated, is the least listened to by me currently). This really comes close to the unmatched brilliance of DogManStar. p.s. I wouldn't be so harsh on Bernard Butler. As a guitarist, he definitely has more taste than Oakes. It’s true that Oakes is identifiable because of his sound, but I wouldn't really compare them. More than anything, Ed Buller, my goodness, he’s the one who makes Suede soar.
