John Fogerty Revival Tour - Live in Roma 25.07.09

@ Justice, all CCR albums are really great, except maybe the last one, which I don't know. But if I can recommend one to start with, go straight for "Cosmo's Factory," you won't regret it.

Very well-written review. I wouldn't know what to say about the content because when it comes to Metal, I only go as far as the classics from the '70s and '80s.

Interesting, I don't know these, but I quite like southern rock. The cover is indeed not very in line with the genre; it looks like one of those by Manowar. @ EZEKIEL, I love both SKYNYRD and ABB; I find them quite different overall—more technical and imaginative are the ALLMAN BROS, more energetic and gritty are the Lynyrd Skynyrd—but I think both bands have written fabulous pages of American rock.

And I would not underestimate VULTUS 5 and TRIDER G7.

@blechtrommel, as I mentioned towards the end of the fence, I find it useful both for those who want to delve deeper and as a first approach for those who are not yet familiar with them. The CD is often found on sale at a special price; I don't know how much it's being sold for now, but I remember I paid 12.90 euros for it, and I recall seeing it for even less. @POPOLOITALIANO, as for my personal tastes, after LIVE AT LEEDS and WHO'S NEXT, I place this one. (not to take anything away from historic albums like TOMMY or QUADROPHENIA, but I prefer the Who's more Rock when it comes to concepts).

Thank you Mocampo, too kind. I agree, probably the greatest of all time live. As for the tracks recorded at Shepperton, they really seem excellent to me, especially Baba O'Riley; the transition after the sung interlude by Pete makes me explode every time I listen to it. :)

Oh damn it, that "fornsice" in the second line should obviously be read as "fornisce," one day I'll make up my mind to change this dyslexic keyboard. I wanted to say other things, but it's summer, it's hot, and I didn't feel like wrecking your/my existence with something Big Big. A little detail, on the back of the CD case, Baba O'Riley is indicated to have a duration of 3'22, but it actually lasts almost 5 and a half minutes. Here’s a short funny excerpt from the initial interview, the Journalist to Pete: "Where are you from?" - Pete: "London." - Journalist: "London where?" - Pete: "London England." ^_^

They made a lot of people dance; they deserved a review.

Great John Fogerty. The CCR are beyond discussion; they were a perfect rock 'n' roll machine. I only know one album from his solo career, and it’s excellent. This is someone many should bow down to. But did he make "Up Around The Bend"? It's my favorite Creedence song. Great review.
