discreet record in a moment of absolute evolution that has often given birth to things of little excellence. H may not be extraordinary, but one must acknowledge its absolute qualities and a particularly beautiful voice.

turning point album.....first improvements with Atom then with Obscured, up to this masterpiece, a tangible sign that they had changed their dealer. "radio stations constantly play "Stairway To Heaven" by Led Zeppelin released a few months earlier"....who suggested this to you??? Topo Gigio???.....and who doesn't remember the countless free radios that broadcasted the sober Stairway on all frequencies, including islands???? you disturb me, are you providing me with what the Pinks had stopped??

…let it not be misunderstood about Guccini, my lifelong love, quoted by me unworthily for the comment!!!!

Not because I particularly like them, and I certainly prefer listening to them rather than watching them, but damn it, is it possible that regularly the Italian pop, a bit gimmicky, probably from Casa Caselli, comes on and everyone starts shoveling crap down our throats??? I find them to be quite good, sufficiently innovative in a decade (talking about Italo-pop of course) that is absolutely dreadful, their lyrics are not too banal, they sound more than decent live, and damn it again, hats off to them, they’ve found success and have somewhat "filled up," but damn it for the third time, how many of you puritans and lovers of cool music, who are also a bit hypocritical, wouldn’t have done the same?? And if they’re from Salento, tough luck, they’ll annoy those who can't stand them saying it, just as Guccini must have pissed off many non-Emilians...... I absolve them!!!!

I allow myself some disorganized musings... an absolute masterpiece, a starting point for just as many masterpieces up to Wind... who the true souls of the group were, aside from Banks' boundless influence on everyone (the predominant reason for Gabriel's departure first and then Hackett's...), can be verified by their solo productions: Immense those of Gabriel and Hackett, let's save Banks' A Curious Feeling and Collins' Face Value, nothing from Mike, terrible outside the group. Collins as a leader??....what!!!...he is to Genesis what Hitler is to Mother Teresa of Calcutta....he has always admitted his almost total disinterest in the music of Genesis, and a lot of complicity in the group's commercial turn (Banks the cat and him the fox!!). For ELP in this context, the same comparison as before applies... cloying, pompous, arrogant.... VDDG, King Crimson, and no one mentioned Gentle Giant, the bands that made the history of 70s prog. I completely disagree with "weak" Trespass! Selling England by the Pound might be my favorite. Bye.

I quote faithfully from the book "Revelations":...”At that time Phil was quite distracted because of his divorce, and honestly, up until then, including that album, he had contributed little to the songwriting. The main authors were basically me and Mike.............................Du ring the studio work, the most exciting moment for me was when Mike played a great guitar riff with the flanger effect, and I started to accompany him with some chords. The combination was fantastic, a simple little melody that later became FOLLOW YOU FOLLOW ME...............Mike wrote the lyrics, a very straightforward love song that aimed to capture the essence of a track that conveyed well-being.........not exactly our specialty.....The success of that song as a single was a fortunate event because it conveyed the positive impression that we had survived all the changes that had taken place over the past few years.........punk music seemed poised to sweep away bands like us, but at that very moment, our first hit single arrived, leading to our first album of significant sales.........we who had always been an underground group were being played on the radio.......it was also the first time that many relatives and friends really noticed us....if we had split up before the release of that record, many would have never heard of us"...Tony Banks. .-....Okay dear Tony, I can only forgive you for the last sentence, but I will never forgive you for all the nonsense you wrote about my favorite band, all the way from Follow You Follow Me onward!!!!

Great review, I would say you've captured the essence 100% and explained it well... there are better ones than ours, although the album is still well done. "Alessandro e il mare" is my favorite. @jack donney: "viola d'inverno" is simply stunning!!
