Masterpiece! One of my favorites. I still have the review of KA in the drawer, but who knows when I’ll get around to it.

How different the points of view are; Trout Mask doesn't convey any sense of freedom to me, rather a tangled mess with a certain logic, while the term avant-garde truly gives me pleasure.

Quite interesting.

I have never liked Mer; it hasn't captivated me unlike the piano sonatas.

I really like Don Cherry. Nice review.

I don't know this one. I've only been exploring it for a relatively short time. Just a few days ago, while listening to the follow-up from '72, I was thinking about how striking the feminine strength (maybe even feminist) is in the lyrics of the album, almost in antithesis to the veiled masculinity of Battisti and Mogol.

It's on my hard drive, but I've never listened to it properly. I will make up for it.

I liked the review even though certain references escape me, but it must be my ignorance. The second solo album by Hayward is dedicated to Rothko, and just for the record, I prefer listening to the Camberwell Now; those really make me drool.
