Easy and fluent reading; at the moment, I don't feel like reading literary flourishes. I went to Romania in '99 to accompany a friend who was looking for a wife. I didn't hook up, but I met some Italian pimps, despicable people.

I'm reading The Foucault Pendulum and can't help but feel something prophetic about it; the structure of the novel, weaving hidden fragments of truth or falsehood, insights and assumptions, seems to me the same process I engage in today with the external world of information; an intricate labyrinth where uncertainty reigns fearless and everyone constructs their own truth with the pieces they find lying around, trying to complete a picture that is always incomplete.
