Without taking anything away from your excellent review and the sincere feelings that led them to record this album, I just wanted to remind you (see comment 10) that towards the end of the 1960s, "...the economic-political elite gradually matured the conviction that American intervention had been a tragic mistake that was proving too costly." (Noam Chomsky - Manufacturing Consent). In short, American society did not manifest against the war or the extermination of the Viet Cong but against a war that was no longer winnable and was costing too much American blood. The same scene is being repeated with the war in Iraq. This also serves to temper an artificial idealism that certain reports want to convey to us. Pasolini said that the student protesters of '68 were the children of the bourgeoisie and that the police were instead the true children of the proletariat. Not everything is as it seems.

There always has to be someone who wants to be alternative at all costs, and no one said that zorn has to "...really be bloodthirsty and brutal...". His greatness lies in his versatility. I’ve seen the video too, and I didn’t get what it has to do with it!

I'm sorry, you know, but it's too much for me.

Thanks to your review, I just bought ASTRO-CREEP 2000 and I realized I know the bassist; I just saw her the other day in Jeff Beck's video. She's really talented and she also plays with Vinnie Colaiuta. Thanks!

@ L'onironauta: thank you for the notices, I hadn't noticed the errors in the titles. @Tarzan: I've owned this CD for many years, I believe since its release, and I've never taken those kinds of trips with it, I’ve always absorbed it musically. However, to write this review, I tried to create images for myself that brought me closer to the theater of horrors. I still believe that in the first piece there isn't much irony like in the later music. And the ending of the review confirms that.

I wrote this review just to address some errors and gaps present in the one already published, as you can read below:
"All the songs are composed by Zorn himself, starting with the first 6 tracks, under the title Grand Guignol and with their respective subtitles. .... . Meditative material...."???????
"...Zorn....appeared to me as one of the most sunny and friendly musicians I have ever seen.."????????
Furthermore, no one in the comments noticed it, and only four people voted, and incidentally all with 5 stars! Those who know and appreciate this work I hope will agree with me.

Dear Publishers, why didn't you give me any spaces? Sigh.

Very good. I didn't appreciate the Oregons much, but Abercrombie is quite a guitarist.
