@Alia76: There are many Brazilian musicians who play punk, rock, new wave, metal, etc., etc. The thing is, they only achieve success nationally, as is normal. The Italian musical tradition is a small affair compared to the Brazilian one, and one could talk about this for hours. Just to mention a particular detail: the accordion is a traditional instrument in Italy, but aside from a few minor interventions in Jazz (see also Paolo Conte), it is a little valued instrument, whereas since Italians brought it here during their migration wave, it has deeply rooted itself in Brazilian culture.

A small clarification: South American music is often discussed, but in truth, it is almost always Brazilian music; in fact, it is here that a strong influence has come from the presence of Africans. The rest of South America, as far as I know, does not offer much, as their music can only draw from Spanish and indigenous culture.

Never heard of her! She can't be very well-known back home; sometimes there are products or artists that are more suitable or adapted for the foreign market. Marisa will be on Deb soon ;)

Nice report, few comments (just like the few people in the screening room) maybe they are all busy fighting over the black book of communism.

Great review. Here’s a CD that I would like to have the original of, maybe I'll return to Italy in 2010, will I wait? By the way, why has no one taken the trouble to review "Bromio" yet?

Cute.

@UXO: I knew this review was already out, in fact there's the link to read it, I just wanted to do something different, experiment, maybe be a little vulgar. It's a personal experience, don't get mad, put in a 1 and turn the page.

@Omaha: Zero tolerance for silence; Offramp; First Circle, Secret Story. And other things, register me that I can't remember. Collaborations: Joni Mitchell (Shadows and Light); Tony Williams (Wilderness). I started with Pat but it could have been anyone else, I was also lucky, because even if he has done better, it's a fairly traditional standards album.

To my great surprise, while browsing the web, I discover that there are dozens and dozens of national prog groups, which leaves me a bit disoriented. So thank you for the heads-up, and I hope more show up on Deb.
