I’m reading your comments only today, and the discussion addresses a topic that is as interesting as it is delicate. I feel a bit closer to Kant's ideas. For me, the values of good and evil are very clear, and thank God today I found many satisfying answers to confusing issues like morality and its role in human evolution. With too much intellectualism and philosophies of non-values, no one gets anywhere, only frustrations.

I absolutely don't love the genre, but I realize that the American rappers have all been bought (at least those on MTV). Living in Brazil, I can assure you that the Hip-Hop movement is very much alive and represents a strong voice for those who have no voice in society, namely the excluded from the favelas. The most famous group is Raçionais MC, and while perhaps their beats are almost all plagiarized, the lyrics are incredibly powerful.

"Troia-to-mare" is absolutely brilliant, no offense to the salted fish, nothing personal!

Never seen or heard of it. When and where was it broadcast?

I, on the other hand, really don't know them, and the irony is that they are from my city. Cursed esterophile that I am, I've missed the whole Italian scene of the nineties. It was a great decade, both musically and in terms of living conditions, at least for us in the Triveneto region; we could even afford to quit our jobs to change careers since we could easily find another one, even with a permanent contract. We entered (and hopefully exited) the adolescence of those years filled with fashion labels: paninari, dark, metallari, punk, and in the end, it was also fun. That unhappiness stemming from existential causes, in my opinion, is common to everyone and encompasses a much broader period; it originates, I believe, from the uncertainty about our future and our social role, which is increasingly becoming a big question mark.
