@Stoney: but how do you reason? You should learn to listen to your conscience and not the biased ethics surrounding you. For me, it’s even more evident because I believe in reincarnation and therefore that we will all pay our debts. This is divine justice, this is all I need, certainly not the imperfect and biased justice of man.

Unmissable, are they printing it in Brazil?

It’s always nice to read you, Carlo. You transport me into a truly pleasant decadent atmosphere.

Alright, guys, you’ve been very clear, I agree that pointless controversies are just a waste of time.

I must admit that Kraftwerk is a gap in my knowledge; however, I believe that the influences leading to the development of a discipline, music in this case, cannot be confined to a single phenomenon. There were many composers of the twentieth century, the so-called avant-garde, who, looking to the future, musically influenced our entire century. The review is good and passionate, though slightly prolix.

Sure! Please provide the text you'd like me to translate.

Sorry, you know, but the quote at the end of the review is a glaring falsehood, didn't you realize? Don't you know the history of the post-war period? American neo-imperialism?

The only connection I had with the music world in my early years in Brazil was MTV (sigh!). One day, they broadcast the Radiohead concert (can you believe I only knew them by name?), so I decided to go into the city and randomly buy one of their albums, Kid A. A glass of fresh water in the desert.

Your comment is interesting, but it tends to generalize. I can talk about my view of evangelical churches here in Brazil, which, although shaped by local culture, are all imported from the United States. There are many different churches (understood as communities) among them, with varying degrees of radicalism, so it was important, in my opinion, to name names and indicate which church or churches are manipulating children. It is true that they are all more or less radical; they leave no room for free will, you can't smoke, drink, wear shorts, go to the beach in a swimsuit, etc., etc. It is also true that many use methods, like trance, that they condemn in other religions. It's also true that their leaders are filled with money thanks to the concept of the "tithe" (according to the Old Testament, the faithful must give a tenth of all their income). In the end, however, if a person decides to be part of one of these churches, it's because they deserve it. I have known many, and I mean many people who have managed to escape from a life of complete degradation—alcoholics, people living on the streets, lost in drugs, etc.—who have managed to break free from their degrading lifestyles through strict discipline. Of course, it is very sad to target children, but I believe that every being is born with a different spiritual evolution and that nothing in this world is left to chance. My mother tried for more than ten years to make me a Catholic, without any results, because I am different and my spirituality must draw from other sources. I have always felt this, but only over time did everything become clear.

Beautiful review and important contribution to showcase the glorious pasts of fallen artists.
