Beautiful straight Giová.

Thank you for the nice suggestion. However, it's Jamaican music and not African; otherwise, most Brazilian music would also be African. I don't understand this strong connotation to Africa when it comes to reggae.

Bought Astro Creep and sold it after two days. Curiosity: I have a live video of Jeff Beck accompanied by Colaiuta and by this prodigy woman on bass, it’s awesome!

It seems to be much better than "country brasileiro," that is, sertaneja music, a real mess (Brazil is also full of indecent music) that makes me want to vomit colonial pau brasil beams.

Hi Fedezan, I only own John Barleycorn and it has never excited me, which is why I have never delved deeper into them.

I don't want to get into the issue of bossa nova and the high bourgeoisie, as it risks falling into banal simplifications. It is still false that 90% of the population is uneducated. Aside from that, your review, besides being very pleasant, contains no errors of judgment and includes things that are fairly correct. I am not a fan of bossa nova, much less of the version made in the States; if I like something, it must have a completely Brazilian origin. Furthermore, many of the songs included in the album have been presented in every possible way. It might even be an exaggeration to say that bossa nova was an "inevitable cultural break with the music and sounds of black Brazil, the more wild and tribal one." Wild and tribal are adjectives that you can attribute to the indigenous people, not to the descendants of Africans. Samba is the root of bossa nova, which is a branch of its evolution, lasting a short but intense period, from which MPB and influences on Brazilian instrumental music have then sprouted.

Wonderful. Maybe I'll stop by tomorrow, I'm too out of it right now to say anything intelligent.

Instead, my life is as far removed from what is written as possible. Apart from a few basedos, of course.

Good job, a story instead of a review, I like it. However, "I practice South America" is quite an ambiguous phrase.
