"No, we're not there!" Exactly, spot on. You're not there at all, I'm sorry. "I knew about the semi-metal past": if throwing in some screaming here and there among the orchestral scores is enough to make it metal...we're good. You talk very little about the album, in fact nothing at all. You lose yourself in pointless comparisons with the past that only hold up to a certain point (let's be clear, I love Dead Can Dance too, especially in the S&I/WTROADS pairing). I also emphasize that among their influences there are contemporary avant-garde orchestral composers (Iannis Xenakis and Giacinto Scelsi, to name a couple). I'm sorry you can't appreciate their proposal, which I consider one of the most elegant and intriguing of recent years. A very beautiful album (the best comes with "Sunwar The Dead" and "A World In Their Screams"), I gladly round up for excess. One of the bands I love the most.

Hi! The French reading course I attended last year was focused on "Chants de Maldoror" ;-) But if I hadn't found it so fascinating, I wouldn't have been able to write about it. So, the slip-ups... actually are just four silly things, eh :) 1) "The album continues along the same path as the previous one "Antithesis"; a path..." [I don't see that semicolon, I would have used a comma] 2) ""Privilegium" indeed makes one feel that these three long years of waiting have brought..." [the commas break up the sentence for no reason] 3) "thanks also to a new entry in the band's lineup, namely the bassist LSK..." [here it's just a matter of form: "namely the bassist" or "thanks also to the new entry in the band's lineup, namely the bassist..." and the semicolon you used earlier, I wouldn't have included it] 4) "fin'ora" should be all together. As you can see, they are just four silly things, nothing major :) Bye!

Very good review, apart from a couple of smudges in the first part, but nothing too serious :) They never impressed me that much though :S Bye!

I'll read the review tomorrow because I just did a quick stop :) In the meantime, if the reviewer doesn’t mind, I’ll post the link to the review I did regarding "Canti di Maldoror," so interested parties can delve deeper: I Canti di Maldoror - Poesie - Isidore Ducasse, il Conte di Lautréamont - Recensione di Gasta (remove any spaces; or search for the review in my profile). Best regards!

I caught a glimpse of the trailer, but I only realized a couple of days ago that it was such an anticipated event... whatever! Anyway, no way I'm going to see a movie like that.
