Emperor Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk
Voto:
In an extreme and anti-melodic genre like black metal, it is usually unlikely to talk about genius, but in this case, one cannot help but notice an extraordinary skill in creating such a contrast: music of limitless violence with fabulous melodies, I am referring to "Ensorcelled By Khaos" and "The Loss And Curse Of Reverence."
Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso Darwin!
Voto:
The first two works of Banco (the third is good but a notch below) fully hold their own against English prog. The purists may not agree, but the new "Darwin!", released in '91, gains immensely from a production that is finally up to par, while the reworking of the debut is completely transformed compared to the original and therefore unsuccessful.
Rush A Show Of Hands
Voto:
Stunning Live, but buy "Replay X3", a triple DVD of inestimable value: "Exit...Stage Left", "Grace Under Pressure Tour" and "A Show Of Hands", three concerts worth experiencing, as well as listening to, it's worth it; there have been very few bands like this in the history of music.
Yes Tormato

Voto:
From 1971 to 1977, Yes released the six greatest albums in rock history; from this point on, the only memorable moments will come from the unreleased tracks of "Keys To Ascension" and "Magnification." As for "Tormato," the only redeemable songs are "Don't Kill The Whale" and "On The Silent Wings Of Freedom." To say the least, tracks like "Circus Of Heaven" and "Arriving UFO" are embarrassingly unworthy. A note of demerit goes to Jon's vocal performance on this album, which is too much in falsetto, while the particular bass effect from Chris, which is only heard here, is the only good reason to listen to "Tormato" every now and then.
Symphony X The Divine Wings Of Tragedy
Voto:
Which is the most beautiful album of the nineties, "Images And Words" or "The Divine Wings Of Tragedy"? The Dream Theater masterpiece is more consistent because there isn’t a single underwhelming track, but at its best, this third work by SX surpasses it. "The Accolade," "The Divine Wings Of Tragedy," and "Candlelight Fantasia" are simply majestic and emotionally unique.
Chris Squire Fish Out Of Water
Voto:
"Hold Out Your Hand" is my all-time favorite song. Among others, "Silently Falling" is an indescribable wonder and the concluding "Safe" is another gem. For any Yes fan, this is a must-have album.
Genesis ...and Then There Were Three...
Voto:
I love this album; it may be less prog, lighter than the previous ones, but I would give the maximum rating to at least three songs: "Undertow," "Burning Rope," and the amazing (just for me, I imagine) "The Lady Lies," which I prefer over any other Genesis song. The decline started with "Abacab"...
Genesis The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
Voto:
Absolutely overrated. Quantity doesn't always go hand in hand with quality. A large part of "The Lamb" consists of decent tracks, broadly above average, but masterpieces are something else: "The Fountain Of Salmacis", "Dancing With The Moonlit Knight", "Can-Utility And The Coastliners", "The Cinema Show", "One For The Vine"...
Some songs will be above average, "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway", "In The Cage", but there are also bland songs like "Counting Out Time", horrible ones like "Back In NYC" (sounds like that worm Johnny Rotten), and laughable ones like "Grand Parade Of Lifeless Packaging". The true masterpiece is "Selling England By The Pound".
Caravan In The Land Of Grey And Pink
Voto:
I like "Waterloo Lily" even more overall, but "In The Land Of Grey And Pink" includes two of the absolute best examples of progressive: "Winter Wine" and the legendary suite "Nine Feet Underground."
Judas Priest British Steel
Voto:
"Rapid Fire" is far superior to "Living After Midnight." "Steeler" is great too.
Why did they change the track order in the remastered version? And why only on this CD?
