Guns N' Roses Appetite For Destruction
Voto:
The review is well-written and made me laugh a lot. The album isn't bad (3.5) and I'm not here to defend Guns (I've always found them annoying...) but '80s metal (glam, sleaze, hair, AOR... call it what you want!) and electro pop, which have never been nonsense (they simply produced their trash, like any musical or artistic movement), actually. In Rock We Trust.

"Sleepwalker" and "Washington is next" are two gems. It pains me that the rest is not quite at that level, even though it's still good and well blended. Total disaster "A tout le monde": Dave, you shouldn't have done this to me! rating 3.5

And after finally listening to it all, here’s the rating. Not bad, commendable.

Anyway, to get to the point about the dispute over who was the leader of the Guns, personally, I’m sure of one thing: which Axl? Which Slash? Here, the leader has never been anyone; they’ve always been a group of spoiled and arrogant assholes, and that’s why the name GUNS went to hell. No leader, but the one with the most brains and great instincts has always been Izzy, and in fact, it's no coincidence he was one of the first to jump ship.

I'm listening to it now (FINALLY IN FULL AND IN OFFICIAL VERSION) on the band's Myspace. To my surprise, it sounds pretty good, and the vocals in some parts are really excellent (maybe because the vocal tracks were recorded who knows how many years ago). Anyway, it seems like a fairly cohesive and well-made album, not the slapped-together puzzle I expected. And so, even more, the question remains the same: how come this album took over a decade to be released?
Guns N' Roses Chinese Democracy
Voto:
I focus on Chinese democracy. Unlike others, the reviewer nailed the cover: it's the one prominently displayed on Amazon. Sales start on November 25... when it eventually costs 4.90 like "The Spaghetti Incident," then MAYBE I'll buy it too. Anyway, good luck to Axl. (Mr. Rose, you used to be cool! How did you become such a mess!)

Good album, of which I keep the vinyl jealously. However, this is more of a shout-out than a review.
Machine Head, Mastodon, Caliban Live @ Club ACSI - Trezzo sull'Adda 19.06.07

x Megadave: I was there too --> Machine Head nothing special (not to say boring or worse). Motorhead (who are not among my favorite bands) were exceptional. They really rocked hard.
