I completely agree with CHAOSA.D.: he expressed much better than I did what I meant.

I'll give it a one anyway because it's clearly a provocation.

He he... oh my, what you're in for. You've gone too far, but I'm putting myself out there too: IF WE START FROM THE PREMISE THAT THIS IS NOT IN ANY WAY A THRASH ALBUM AND THAT IT IS COMPLETELY REMOVED FROM THE REST OF MEGADETH'S PRODUCTION, ALMOST NOT EVEN BEARING THEIR MONIKER, this is a very enjoyable album. I also listen to it with pleasure, but if I'm looking for Megadeth, I definitely listen to something else. Breadline above all.

Meconio, you should then take the invitation with which I close the review: do you know anything worse? Let me know! It will be a fun race to the bottom! ;)

The two comments above me, of course... Scandinavian folk... but fuck off.

For the two comments below me: you’re both complete idiots. I didn’t say your disc is bad; in fact, I give it a full 5 stars. But it’s not purely thrash—there are too many different influences, the songs are very long, airy, and sometimes slow. Pure thrash is short, fast, and angry. Think before you speak! As soon as someone gives an opinion on this album that doesn’t match the typical “MASTERPIECE! UNREACHABLE!” that your average sixteen-year-old metal fan might throw out, everyone jumps on them for insulting royalty. My dear fundamentalists, if MOP cannot be debated, go to Mecca, throw the black stone, replace it with this CD, and worship it until exhaustion. Just in the same Metallica production, there are 2 albums that are much more properly thrash than this one, and they are called Kill 'Em All and Ride the Lightning, even though the latter already shows some melodic influence. I repeat my opinion: the album is worthy of 5 stars, but it’s not 100% thrash as presented here. And turn on your brain!

Ah, I almost forgot one thing: spectacular cover. I've always loved it to bits.

Yes, they did better, but this is certainly not a 2-rated album, and I agree with the reviewer’s assessment. A huge classic. Majesty is a delight! Deep, you and I often agree. Well done, you propose great music.
