Perhaps a bit verbose for my tastes, I still prefer the more straightforward and restrained style of Rooster, but it's good nonetheless. An all-time favorite album of mine... Staley is (with all due respect to Sinatra) The Voice.

Yeah, maybe I overdid it... but you know, when something disgusts you, you end up hating it more and more. But my opinion stands. rap=not music.

@Stricnina...I may be in a bad place, I may be ignorant...give me (not a group, that would be too easy) a list of "musically" fulfilling hip hop groups. I'm not talking about ones filled with technicalities and various nonsense, I've already mentioned those...good luck!

I liked this...unlike A History of Violence, which greatly disappointed me, especially in comparison with the aforementioned, excellent.

with affinities and divergences it’s been 5... the following production, although at good levels, will never reach this excellent initial pathos...

At least the Nanowar make you laugh... these are a wandering mess...

Rap is a poorly conceived genre; most (in the best cases) are limited to good synth groove ideas and dub loops. There is rarely any true experimentation, not even thematically, alas, because the usual melody seems to sell, and the protagonists don't play any instruments. However, in my opinion, there is something good (think Rage Against, Mr. Bungle, etc.), but they are forged in a crossover soul that doesn’t mesh well with the "hip-pop" all padlocks and XXL hoodies. The common imagination remains tied to the "semi-production" of charlatans like the one reviewed here, who have little to no music in them.

what the hell... just think that at a little village party in mid-May, with 2 different groups in succession, I have to play "La forza merda mia" with the first group, and with the next one "Hello Skinny" by the Residents... tell me right away if this isn't a shitty world
