...well guys, this is just my opinion, eh, miramar, if I like a certain way of making cinema it’s all a matter of objectivity. So, forgive me, but the term bullshit can be quite irritating. I absolutely don’t want to discredit Bava, whom I admire despite all the limits that I consider he has. bye.

Bartleozzo, of Fulci, the ones I have the most vivid memories of are "Non so sevizia un paperino," fabulous, "Sette note in nero," slower but still excellent, and the masterpieces "L'aldilà" and "Zombie 2," and I can assure you that except for "Cani arrabbiati" (which I had already seen but have just discovered was by Bava), they all piss on all the Bava. You can confirm this by watching them... ;)

I saw some bava films a while ago, all from the '60s if I remember correctly. Like Argento, his films thrive on the merits of stunning cinematography, prolonged suspense, and a certain flair for blending slasher horror with old-school giallo. It’s a shame that most of the time character development is minimal, and the plot often seems trivial in its progression. They are somewhat wobbly films if one wants to be thoroughly critical. If you watch Fulci, who strangely still lacks reviews, you realize what it means to work at the highest level across all parameters to produce an excellent feature film, and there the criticism can only be unanimously positive.

Inside Nosebleed, I don't know why all this difficulty with Hammett's solos. Anyway, listening to Orion and after the crappy instrumental Magnetic, you realize it was Burton that made the band. Notice how the most beautiful tracks from Kill 'Em All onwards either bear his signature or (partly) Mustaine's. The others WERE great, but not geniuses.
