This album for me is just a cover I've seen over and over again for months, a few years ago... it's beautiful and says a lot to me about an album I haven't listened to yet. You, in part, have confirmed what I thought. The ratings from Prog and Larrok make me eager to seek it out.

I still bite my fingers today because, you see, I had the Ulan Bator right in front of me for free at a village party very close to my house when I was around 13 or 14 at most. Naturally, I didn't know who they were and I left just as they started playing, I remember. When I later found out who they were, it was already too late. Bravo Panico, I've even seen this in a crummy little shop near my house, of course upstairs, all dusty, abandoned to the elements and oblivion, surrounded by old horror VHS tapes of questionable taste.

Here, I don't have this one.. and I've told myself multiple times to get it! With Metheny, I go through phases: there are moments when I could listen to only him, and others when he makes me break out in hives. I really like one of his live EPs that came out a few summers ago, recorded in Tokyo.. maybe because it's the first one I got.
