I was there. The concert was amazing. Truly breathtaking. But before talking about the concert, I just want to say that to me, St. Vincent seemed utterly boring: all the songs sounded the same, a whiny voice like Consoli, and the guitar held under her chin. No, total failure. For us, it was the perfect moment to go get something to eat :D But let's get to the concert: there was also my reaction: "And the mustache?" Forget everything. And then damn, he was a monster! Didn't you say he broke three microphones during the first song? He arrived, started singing, then after a minute BAM! and the first one was gone, they brought him a second one and again BAM!, the second one too, then he grabbed one from the guitarist (who had an amazing acoustic guitar, my trusty companion told me it was a Fender), then from the keyboardist, and when they brought him the last one and signaled that they were out of microphones, he calmed down :D He was truly fired up: he was yelling, jumping, running, and as you said, without too much pandering to the audience. The band was fabulous, a perfect sound. Truly powerful. I’ll never forget the first violin solo from the multi-instrumentalist on his right (what the hell kind of guitar was he playing?). The only real flaw in the review, for me, is that it didn't even dedicate a line to her. "This song is dedicated to a city where all get very, very wet..." TUPELO!! Indescribable. Played hauntingly, less sparse than the original, but equally shocking. Even now, when I listen to "You can see these streets are rivers, you can call these rivers streets," I still get chills down my spine like I did at the concert. From where we were (me and him), that is on the left toward the fourth row, at Tupelo Cave he had the moon directly over his head...luciferian. Then "The Ship Song," "The Weeping Song," "Lucy" for the encore, everything perfect...even when he messed up introducing the song (he was supposed to do "Love Letter" and introduced "The Weeping Song") when he dedicated a piece to a girl he liked in the front row, when he was unsure whether to thank us or tell us to fuck off :D In short, great Cave. I want to see him again.

Well, they’re back too. A couple of years ago I bought "Dividing Opinions" and I quite liked it (I listened to it again today and it still seems like a good little record, nothing exceptional), and now this "Il Fuoco" doesn’t seem bad at all, especially since it was the singing that didn’t really convince me in the previous album, and if that’s less present here, even better. Of course, it’s still the soundtrack for a work of one of the Italian authors I really can’t stand, namely D'Annunzio, but I hope there aren’t too many direct references. Is there?

Now explain to me how it is possible that every album you review has a beautiful cover. The strange thing is that they all seem to share the same style! Now the only thing that comes to mind is that you might be the one designing them :D Aside from that, well done and great suggestion.

Nice little page! I've already downloaded their 3 albums on soulseek. This is the second time you've hooked me instantly, it's not really good;))

I’ve never listened to a note from these guys, and it’s not like I’ve heard great things about them. What’s certain is that you gave me a half-second heart attack when I read "Since I've Been..." I thought, "If they've covered my favorite Zeppelin song, I'm gonna be pissed," but fortunately, there was a "Wrong" :D
