Suicide Why Be Blue?

I too am stuck on the second one, which doesn't bother me at all... of course the first one remains a thing apart.

Even though I might start with the most concise and rockabilly badlands, the doubles always "scare" me a bit.

Great review as usual, I'm joining the chorus of interested parties :) Anyway, I still believe that li jianhong should be reviewed by you, you're much better than me! ^_^
The Horrors Primary Colours

I listen to them and they're not bad, but they don't fully convince me (at least for now), too calm for my taste, I would have preferred a few more outbursts.

Anyway, I had to Google to find out which band you were referring to... ^_^

Uhm, apparently I still hadn't commented on it... great album of neo-psychedelia in the style of Flaming Lips or Soft Boys, which in reality often leans more towards sunny-weird pop-rock than true psychedelia, but that's how it is :D

The psychedelic covers of the 60s are beautiful, so colorful and sunny! They put me in a good mood just by looking at them, such great years :)

Anyway, the chronological approach is unfeasible for me; I don’t have the time/money/desire to listen to everything from every artist all the time! The only way is to browse around the web and see which CDs are generally considered the best and start with those (the plurality of sources is extremely important, unless they’re really trustworthy, since, as you rightly say, anyone can write online today, even ME! :D); then if something is truly worth it, I might take my time to delve into the rest...

I discovered this album this spring/summer when I started getting a bit closer to South American music/literature, and I must say it's truly enjoyable! You can also hear the influences of the local music, which for me is always extremely important because I generally have little interest in listening to an album from some "exotic" country if it sounds exactly like an Anglo-American album.

their best imho, although I also like the next two :) this nevertheless remains their most pissed-off and genuine work
