Ah, and then how anonymously mediocre are the "alternative" worlds? Like the siege of the castle that completely rehashes the worst elements of fantasy (but this was probably intentional as brilliant irony, I suppose... and already!).

SCANDALOUS film, one of the worst things I have ever seen at the cinema. I really liked 300 and Watchmen (more the second one, but the first was lovable in its cheesiness too), and for sure at a visual/stage level Zakk is not doing bad as long as he sticks to drawing inspiration from stories written by others. Here, however, he tried to come up with the story himself and he failed, mainly because there isn't really a story, just short scenes that poorly justify (among other things) action sequences that seem more suited for an arcade than a movie. Then there are extremely stereotypical characters, flat acting or deliberately exaggerated depending on the case, plus a soundtrack that I personally found terrible (with dance distortions of Jefferson Airplane and Pixies... brrrrrrr!)

Even though I’m an old fan of fantasy, I’ve never heard this mentioned. Maybe if I find it in a bookstore, I’ll give it a read.

even though I must admit that today's fakes lack personality, it seems that people no longer put in as much effort as they did before. In the good old days, they were at least a bit clever/ironic, but today most are just aiming for mere and bland provocation.

The term "censorship" was intentionally exaggerated; nonetheless, the fakes are part of the game. After all, every now and then, a bit of nonsense is welcomed, especially since sometimes it brings out funny or interesting things, like this time with the riddles or other silly stuff and deliriums that I personally appreciate :) More than anything, I don’t understand those who get extremely upset and outraged with certain users who clearly write to provoke, thus playing into their game. As the saying goes, take it easy, or to quote something a bit more cultured, "Non ragioniam di lor, ma guarda e passa."
