I don't know, maybe it's because I got to know them through their latest works and I went back in time, but to me, even the most recent ones didn't seem that bad. For example, Lothus Eater or Ghost of Perdition are two of my favorite tracks.

Ah, for me this is better than remain in light (even though I always give the first 4 a 5); here you can still hear the sound of the band, which in the next one gets a bit lost in favor of ethnic experimentation.

Great review and the comparison with Pere Ubu is interesting; maybe that's why they are my two favorite new wave bands? :) This one is a bit more challenging at first than the first two, but then it's pure magic as usual.
