The album is quite repetitive and doesn't go beyond a 2... the review, well let’s say you could have made it a bit shorter for an album like this... it could have been analyzed more thoroughly, and then all this destruction with "Who's your daddy," I didn't see it. Bye.

Candlemass Death Magic Doom
Voto:
It's not bad, but... Lowe's voice, very beautiful in every rough nuance, still doesn't convince me. The perfect singer for C-Mass was Lanqvist; I already frowned during the Messiah period, even though they produced immense masterpieces with Nightfall and Ancient Dreams. I feel like all the songs on this DMD caress the same metric line of sound, of empirical heavy/doom, without innovations. Worn-out riffs turn the CD into a "usual doom CD from Candlemass in the '00s." I find something good only on My Funeral Dreams... 2.5/5 insufficient.
Judas Priest Screaming for Vengeance

judas priest = Judas Priest.
However, the name comes from a song by Bob Dylan... "The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest"!

Simple and traditionalists in their way of dressing and presenting themselves... long, curly hair, bell-bottom pants, dark glasses, mustaches.
I meant it in that sense!
They were "canonical" from that point of view... it's natural that musically they were innovators, but not in their attitude. There were many other groups before them that dressed like that: ELP, Cream, Black Sabbath, that was the fashion in the '70s.
And Judas Priest completely changed their way of dressing, being among the first to cover themselves in studded leather!

Thanks to FJELLTRONEN who, besides complimenting me, also gave a fair idea of Opeth... I quote this sentence: "very talented from a compositional and performance point of view, they should receive much more acclaim than they actually do. Among the few who have the strength to 'create' when almost everything has already been said and written." This is Opeth! Perhaps in recent years they have sold more t-shirts or merchandise, but they’re not selling out, and it's no coincidence that in their latest album they maintained the songs around 10 minutes long and not shorter, a sign of artistic continuity. Morningrise may have poor production, but I have the original record and it sounds divine!
