Indeed, all these remakes have become a bit tiresome; rarely do you see one that's better than the original. My vote goes to the one from '86. I'm sorry that Sean Bean (whom I consider a good actor) agreed to act in this film.

I saw it again last year after admiring it as a child; it remains a pleasant film to watch, also because it brings up some old childhood memories. I agree with everything that has been said in favor of Connelly.
