Terrible ahahahhaahahaha my god.. Come on, let’s call it a day, it’s for the best. True connoisseurs, indeed.
It’s not set in stone because there are people who think Frank Zappa is awful, there are people who find Pink Floyd boring (not me), it’s all relative. This is your experience, it’s not absolute truth.
I could also tell you that many tend to tear down the more famous bands solely because of their fame, to not see themselves on the same level as a "common" listener. I’m sure that if Queen had been a group of losers that nobody cared about, you would have definitely appreciated them. Because this is a matter that goes beyond music.

Certainly, the example of Tokio Hotel is fitting. But aside from that, I could have listened to everything in my life - Area, Zeppelin, Floyd, Beatles... and still prefer Queen. And here we are talking about the subjective, you get my point? This is what I mean! It's subjective to claim that Queen is gaudy and boring. You know, I find Velvet Underground exasperating, but that's just my opinion; it's not an absolute truth. Just as everything you've said about Queen (nor what I've said) isn't an absolute truth either; these are our personal truths, therefore subjective!

I know the music scene very well, I'm not in any phase. Queen have been and remain a great band. Your opinions are nonetheless subjective; you are not the bearers of the truth, just as I am not, after all :-) Anyway, criticism has always been harsh towards Queen, so let's avoid talking about media operations. Every band has its detractors; T. Rex never meant anything to me, so should I then be less competent than you because of that? I don't think so; music is subjective.
