Great. I rate the album a 4.5, just because I slightly prefer the previous one, The Perfect Prescriptions, which is my absolute favorite by Kember and Pierce.

For me, a masterpiece, end of story. It might be due to the emotional connection, but it's an album of immense importance. Too bad the following albums won't be on the same level, with mediocre albums and a few good ones (Honey's Dead).

My girl loves them, but they've always made me feel bad. I gave them a couple of listens, different approach, the usual tune and shameless quotations, Lennon (Choose Me), Barrett (I think it's The Flying Shoes), etc., etc... Anyway, maybe it's their work that I liked a bit more, at least at first glance. If it had had fewer tracks, maybe it would have scored a 3! 2.5...

For me it's a great album, not on the level of the subsequent Maggot Brain, that's a masterpiece, but still an amazing record.

In my opinion, the best of Black Flag lies in these raw recordings. Especially the first EP with Keith Morris on vocals, undoubtedly one of my favorite vocalists! Strangely, after years of dust, I have also greatly reassessed My War in recent months, an album that inexplicably I never really liked much.
