What can I say? A masterpiece. Although perhaps, I might be crazy, I slightly prefer, but just a little, the more raw and guitar-driven Monster Movie and the collection Delay 1968, both featuring that Malcom Mooney on vocals: the Sonic Youth almost 15 years earlier, in short...

Great record, even if at times the similarities with Spacemen 3 almost verge on plagiarism.

For me, his masterpiece...beautiful...and to think that it is a posthumous album, a semi-finished work.

I don't know.. I haven't listened to it and I don't think I will. I'd rather remember them in Sepultura, so many years ago by now.

Yes, grandissimi. Excellent album, although my favorite remains the EP "Down With The Crown."

Not yet listened but you piqued my curiosity, even though to me, personally, they haven’t excited me for years... I find that their last noteworthy work remains the now distant New Adventures in Hi-Fi, then for me it's nothing... I will listen to it. Good review.

A record that stands out. Period. The notion that it’s insignificant is nonsense... maybe only Land Speed Record by Husker Du can be considered somewhat insignificant. This album tends to be undervalued because of the masterpieces that followed, but for me it remains a masterpiece of Hardcore, alongside G.I. by the Germs, Meat Puppets I, and the twisted The Punch Line by the Minutemen. Period. Rating 4.5... I reserve a full 5 and even beyond for Metal Circus and Zen Arcade, but this one is no joke either. Damn, tracks like "From The Gut," "Punch Drunk," "Wheels," "Gravity," and "Statues" were not just for anyone back then...
Monster Magnet God Says No
Voto:
Disco that for me, devoted to the cult of Monster Magnet EP, Spine Of God, and Tab, borders on the obscene. The last work of the Magnet that I truly appreciated was Superjudge, then it was over. Even Dopes To Infinity sounded tired to me. Then, de gustibus, of course... But since after Dopes they’ve really become embarrassing. Great review.

I'll listen to it... but nothing will surpass that masterpiece called Pink Flag. In other words, one of my desert island albums...
