Michel Gondry Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (Se mi lasci ti cancello)
Voto:
The film is exceptional: I deeply love Gondry's art in all its forms (TV spots, music videos, films, etc.) and this movie is excellent. It might not deserve a full 5, but it contains so many clever elements that it's hard to imagine seeing such a great film for several more years. Carrey is an absolute excellence as an actor from his very first performances (he was already amazing in the two episodes of Ace Ventura), I wonder how many more performances he will need to give before the general public realizes that he is not ONLY, but ALSO a comedic actor and that he is capable of tackling any script.

@Den Vlaams: said by you, it's a compliment for which I sincerely thank you. If you have anything else to say, go ahead, receiving compliments is always pleasant.

@nes: thanks for the suggestions, but I've already seen both films you mentioned (as well as all the others by Satoshi Kon!). "Perfect Blue" was the first Kon film I watched, and I still remember it today as very beautiful, while "Paprika" seems excessive to me: I realize that this is the director's intention, and that the goal of filling my eyes with colors has been achieved, but I prefer "Tokyo Godfather," which in its linearity is an extremely successful work. @Bartleboom: I looked around a bit, but I couldn't find anything... I hope someone can help you better than I can.

Absolute masterpiece of the history of animation and cinema; I don't believe I'm exaggerating when I say that Breton would have certainly loved this film wildly. By great fortune, I took the most correct path to delve into this series, that is, I first read the comic (perfectly linear, perfectly logical), then I watched the TV series (linearity is not taken for granted, logic often put to the test), then I read the comic of the film (non-existence of linearity, non-existence of logic), and finally I watched the film (total surrealist subversion of linearity and logic after having shown us that they could exist). The film of the Utena saga is the extreme outcome of Ikuhara's imagination, and the entire ending with the cars is pure Genio™. The amount of explicitly but above all implicitly sexual references is such that if Moige sees this film, they will forever close the borders with Japan.

Actually, Hillary Clinton was running for president as a real candidate and not as the assistant of the candidate, but you didn’t feel the need to mention it, while instead you cited the romantic prediction of Condoleezza Rice and Sarah Palin, truly chilling. I also wonder how the hell you already know that the 2010s will be remembered "in the collective consciousness, as the years of the great women's question"; in the meantime, however, we remember these 2000s as the years of the economic, social, and moral dissolution of Italy under the leadership of $i£vio B€r£u$coni... perhaps the 2010s will be the years of the final collapse, who knows.
