Apart from "Take a Bow," which is one of the worst things ever created by homo sapiens, for the rest of the album I agree with Alex84 because it really turned out well.
Madonna Celebration

I rate the review a 3 even though it deserves a 4 because, in my opinion, it's a bit too celebratory: all these "queen of pop," "masterpiece," "celebration," "icon" that Madonna's reviewers (not just Darius) always use for their diva are definitely theatrical and a bit over the top. The album in question deserves a 4, yes, but the other two best-ofs are much better: "The Immaculate Collection" (best of the '80s) and "GHV2" (best of the '90s); if they had printed a third best-of for her third decade of activity to finalize the contract with Warner instead of this rather useless collection, how much better would it have been? A lot.

Welcome to DeBaser! The review is very good, but despite being a fan of Madonna, I don't find this album particularly significant from a musical standpoint, neither absolutely nor in relation to her career; I do agree with the reviewer in attributing to "Erotica" a milestone function of the '90s and their ethics & aesthetics: it's practically an important album, but not very beautiful.

In my opinion, Gore Verbinski is a good director. It’s true, he directed those three blockbusters of the Pirates of the Caribbean films, but those are actually good movies full of ideas and very well constructed (the second one is excellent, the first one is good, the third one is the weakest). And his "The Ring" is much, MUCH more interesting and thoughtful than one might think. I watched this on Rete 4 some time ago, and I didn’t dislike it; I even managed to appreciate Nicolas Cage, who usually annoys me. Perhaps it doesn’t deserve four stars, but today I’m feeling generous.
Rumiko Takahashi Maison Ikkoku

@PunkPrincess: I’ve read all of Takahashi's works, long series, short series, and even the collections of single episodes, and I've never been disappointed. "Inu Yasha" has a definitely commercial mechanic, sure, but it’s created with much more inventiveness compared to similar products; moreover, I’m amazed that no one seems to like it, and yet everyone buys it (like me, and even you if I understood correctly).

@PunkPrincess: they may be nonexistent endings... but they are only 1% of the total! It's not possible to judge a serialized work made up of self-contained chapters, all of the highest quality, by saying that there is no ending... because even if there were, it would still be a formal ending, since it wouldn't be necessary. And indeed, in my opinion, Takahashi is right to include open endings: they transform the story into a virtually infinite narrative, consistent with how it had been developed up to that point. Don't you think?

Good review, but not as good as your other ones, which are usually much better (there's also a little mistake, because Godai is truly working-class, not petty-bourgeois). The work, however, is simply an absolute masterpiece of world comics.

THIS REVIEW IS GENIUS AND AUTOMATICALLY RANKS AMONG MY TOP TEN NOT ONLY ON DEBASER BUT GENERALLY AMONG ALL THE REVIEWS I'VE EVER READ IN MY LIFE. After watching the first movie (at €2 for a second showing, what do you think!) and the trailer for this second film, I have no doubt that this outrageous total shit deserves 0 stars, which is the rating that critic Pino Farinotti gives to those films that are not only ugly but also even harmful to the entire cinematic art; I give it 1 only because here on DeBaser there’s no 0, but a no-vote... I beg you, editor, please add a 0 for the real rubbish and a black star for the true masterpieces!!!
