@KurtTheFish02: if they used to shorten or cut them a bit, you'll be stunned if you turn on the TV in the afternoon on Italia 1. To make the cartoons as profitable as possible, they now broadcast 5-minute snippets of episodes (from the original 25!!!), with the opening theme reduced to a stub and without the closing one, and no less than 10 or 15 minutes of advertisements between cartoons. Now tell me if Media$et doesn't deserve this spelling. If we don't mythologize cartoons by broadcasting them well with both an opening and a closing theme, we'll lose faith in the themes, and slowly, they won't be made anymore either. Cristina, save us!

@Lupin: um... actually, I don't really agree, since in the very previous comment I wrote that it was based on vague foundations for a cartoon they didn't know much about. If the distance between the cartoon and the theme song is a reason to proclaim the song's "independence," then fine, but I don't completely agree with you. Anyway, ça va, everyone with their own myths: I totally agree with you when you say that the emotional impact powerfully affects the judgment of an old theme song, that's for sure, but I also want to be honest and tell you that I love theme songs from cartoons that I used to despise or never watched, while I hate other theme songs from cartoons that I actually loved, so it's always very relative.
