Pat Metheny Bright Size Life

For me, the greatest is and remains Wes Montgomery, unmatched for all jazz guitarists. Personal opinion. Metheny issue - fusion or jazz? Metheny is, of course, a fusion guitarist. Unfortunately, my notebook battery is demanding a recharge; otherwise, I would throw out some nonsense too :))) Just kidding! I completely agree with alexander77.

Maybe some people have never listened to Jim Hall... anyway, from my nickname, can you tell I like the album? :)

Franci, calm down, I didn't want to open a Sports Bar in a Pavese review, I wrote it a bit as a joke, sensing that you would somehow gloss over it :) We'll get back to it next year, and hurry up to climb back up before the Bari return to Serie B.

@tarpit: where do we send the Atalanta folks, to the countryside or into nature? :))

My first book by Pavese. The scene where Berto and Talino arrive on foot in the countryside is beautiful, and Talino almost thoughtlessly slips off his shoes, resting them on his shoulders, as if he were entering a "different" planet, with unwritten rules.

For that C.B. in the first period, you would deserve one. Because C.B. is not just Carlo Bordini, Punisher.

Here, I don't know... he doesn't convince me. I've listened to his solo albums. The fact that he sings in his own language doesn't make him a "pure African" musician (he's American in every sense now, living and teaching in Boston if I'm not mistaken), and I often find the arrangements artificial and cold. Better in PMG.

I read it and... yes, it shifts your conscience. Right now, I wouldn't even place it among my top 20, but it serves a purpose. Oh, how it serves.
