Hi Jake. I listened to this album in mp3 after enjoying "Some Aspects of Water," which you reviewed. "Mounts and Mountains" is strongly Jarrett-esque, as you've rightly pointed out ("Personal Mountains" ring a bell?) and it's my favorite. Lately, I've also been listening to "Etudes" with Haden and Motian, which, compared to these, seems a bit more challenging to listen to, and I might leave it in the "cellar" for a while.

And if you handle the CDs badly like I do, even less.

I started collecting CDs in '98, and now I find myself with dozens of scratched and unlistenable albums. I would gladly switch to vinyl if I had the money. I know Ray Brown; I only have Quadrant with Joe Pass (on CD, of course) and it’s a classic, worth listening to every once in a while.

Yesterday, Fidia linked a petition against the dioxin emissions from the Ilva in Taranto. Since it's the first "political" link I’ve seen, I was wondering if this could be done on Debaser. Or rather, does the "management" appreciate or not topics that are outside the Okulistic-Akustic sections? Let’s say I find interesting stuff around that I want to bring to the attention of the Debaseriots, can I do it (without exaggerating), or would you prefer not to (maybe it annoys you)? If the question seems a bit stupid, I apologize, but I still don't fully know the dynamics of the site; I wouldn’t want to be banned for linking something that’s not very relevant.
