In my opinion, we need to clarify a small point. Bartle almost hit the nail on the head; he was close. A smooth-reading book doesn’t necessarily have to be one with simple vocabulary; it depends on many other factors (starting with a "little" thing called punctuation). One must know how to keep the reader engaged, knowing when to use it because (at least I think so) it is utterly useless to construct a book where there’s a period every three seconds, and it takes only fifteen minutes to finish. That makes no sense; it should allow the book to be read in a certain way. It’s not just about reading; there needs to be a minimum level of structured reading. The audience that reads Dan Brown, at least what I observe in the library, typically doesn’t read very different things. There are many shared authors among them. I wish the two worst myths about reading could be debunked: the first is that a novel with certain topics is heavy, and the second (which is the most serious) is that a smooth-reading book must necessarily be short. Gentlemen, there are so many talented writers who churn out their 900-1000 pages but manage to keep you engaged and make you appreciate the book! When people at work come to me saying, “not too big, please,” I feel like throttling them! Especially because then you hear them say, “the only big book I’ve read is ‘The Pillars of the Earth’ by Ken Follett.” At that point, it’s a miracle if heads don’t fly!

And if you knew it, why did you ask me? :D (Then he gets angry, rightly so. It's a fucking party; if they had told me, "We're working on Wednesday," I wouldn't have complained at all) PROT!

June 2nd, Italian Republic Day (in short, a few "Long live the homeland." Some parades with tricolor flags and associated Roman salutes)

So we need to find out who at RAI communicated the existence of Don Luisito's books! Professionalism is certainly not characteristic of this public service (at least on the television front; things are better on the radio).

It takes a pinch of will to understand this, and the Italians (residents) are not very good at it. Regarding having read the book, it should be said that while we were going from Viboldone to the bookstore, it was actually Don Luisito who spoke up in favor of Augias. He said it was not physically possible for him to read the books of everyone he interviews or reviews, especially because he deals with too many things.

Do you know where the Rinascita is? If you want, I can call tomorrow and have a copy set aside for you (and if they don’t hold it for you, they will have it sent over).

@Kosmo, still not clear? Yesterday there was Report trying to explain it but I missed the episode. Maybe they managed to do it (even though it’s better not to explain the hitch!). I’m sorry about the allergy, no worries. @Sfascia, Messere. What would you like me to say? Watch the interview, Kosmo clearly outlined what is happening. And anyway, I’ll add a note, after Augias he was a guest on Fahrenheit. Don Luisito told me that it went better there since it was a much more conversational meeting with different rhythms. Maybe it’s also because the person who interviewed him actually read the book!

The Auerbach was top-notch, a truly fabulous album. On the other hand, this one doesn’t convince me too much; I completely agree with comment Number 1. Nothing special, anyway.

I don’t know, but I like the review and it inspires me, I’ll take note amicably. The Melvins' album is crap? I'll throw this out there: maybe that’s a good sign. There’s no need to worry about it, like those other gentlemen you mention (the little one and Corgan). Let it fuck off to God, maybe He doesn’t even exist!

He's great, fucking great! This man deserves respect (and you have to see him in concert, he really does), not by chance is he a friend of another guy who, if I'm not mistaken, has the initials F.F. I'm waiting for sür Cimmino, who is more knowledgeable on the subject. P.S. The so-called "new singer-songwriters" can only take notes from someone like Chimenti.
