@Hell: I didn't dislike the link at all (though that doesn't mean I can say "I liked it" ;-) it's just not my kind of thing). Secondly, I took a look at the aforementioned cover of the latest Amon Amarth: this is trash!

...and for the "One comment leads to another" series, I add: I tried with Burzum, A Blaze in the Northern Sky, In the Nightside Eclipse, Pure Holocaust, etc., but it was all in vain; I just can't bring myself to like it. I'd be very surprised if one day I were to find something appealing within the ranks of black metal.

As for music, I really don't think it's for me: I've never liked black metal, of any kind (translated into plain words = I won't listen to it!).

The review started off well, but in my opinion, it got a bit bogged down in this almost smooth track by track, don't take it the wrong way.

Thank you all for the comments. @ilterribile82: look, I didn't catch them either before or after the concert, but I have to say that by the end of the show they didn't even acknowledge the people under the stage reaching out to congratulate them. It might be because, as an Englishman confirmed to me, the English are quite shy and reserved.

Amazing film, seen last night. Outstanding performance by Dustin Hoffman, btw.

Right away, some considerations: the review seems very frantic, I don’t like the way you write. As for audience engagement, I believe you just need to search for any amateur live recording on YouTube to see the comedic/cabaret side of Å. @progrock: the infamous 18 minutes of Blackwater Park are nothing more than Blackwater Park live + 5 or 6 minutes of the band introduction with some groovy music in the background, so let’s not talk about it as if it were an extreme live expansion with an endlessly prolonged acid-lSD solo. UH!
