Even though she has become a bit mainstream now - just look at the cover - I’ve always found her to be a great artist, and I loved Jagged Little Pill back in the day, literally wearing out the CD.

Ian Mackaye? Founder and co-owner of a Hardcore label? Sound engineer, singer, and producer? Is he poor? I beg your pardon, I didn’t know. Anyway, I misspoke; I was thinking of more than valid bands that have sold millions of records, but it’s still wrong to call only them Greats; there are deserving artists who don’t achieve the success they deserve.

The argument doesn't hold at all, as the monetary enrichment of the Artist (with models in tow) and "the poverty" of the working fan can be extended to any Great of music, not just the Kiss. As for their type of Rock, it may be a matter of taste, but I still find it hard to believe that tracks like "Cold Gin," "Detroit Rock City," "Rock Bottom," "Rock'n' Roll All Night," and "C'mon and Love Me" can be labeled as the latrine of the genre...
