Leonard Cohen Live At The Isle Of Wight 1970

Just out, the DVD is extraordinary, the CD replicates it exactly, also including all the dialogues that might have been omitted in the audio format.. anyway, if only there were more.. well done, also for including a few translated phrases, which is always a nice touch!
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Grande Messa in Do minore, KV 427

@CHICKEN NOOSE: among those I recommended, I didn't include the K467, which corresponds to no. 21, also a magnificent concerto, containing besides the first movement you mentioned, the famous andante..
Giuseppe Verdi Traviata

A few years late, but... well done! I still have to fully digest Verdi; I'm not exactly sure why, but I haven't dedicated enough time to it to really get immersed... among the next things to do...
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Grande Messa in Do minore, KV 427

Thank you all so much for the flattering comments. @4URELIO: of course, the journey towards classical music or anything else is personal and guided by the course of one’s curiosity. What I could suggest is starting with Mozart's piano concertos (staying on theme), perhaps picking one among No. 9, 14, 17, 20, 23, 24... just let yourself be drawn in and the path will take shape on its own!

Thank you for the comments, especially for the flattering alcoholic remark from Voodoomiles! But to be honest, I didn't think the Hotel Supramonte version was that bad... I also agree with Gustavotanz and Hal on the opinion of "Da questa parte del mare," a concept album with great insights.

Lambchop Is A Woman
Voto:
From what I've seen, it's truly a vice:
From Ondarock (www.ondarock.it/recensioni/2002_la mbchop.htm)
"Is a Woman" is the sixth work by Lambchop led by Kurt Wagner. It's a new immersion into their soft, dreamy atmospheres. Played by an eighteen-piece orchestra, the album is built on the idea of recreating sounds and vibes from jazz clubs. It evokes the "polished" Tom Waits of "Foreign Affairs," thanks to a sparkling piano, brushes, and lightly sketched guitar arpeggios. In this subdued, minimalist setting, Kurt Wagner's deep voice emerges, capable of evoking sudden chills and warming the heart. It is primarily Tony Crow’s piano that suggests the melody from start to finish, accompanied at times by acoustic and electric guitars, saxophones, electronic reverberations, and velvety percussion.
Thus, we move from the sorrowful "The Daily Growl" to the poignant melancholy of "The New Cobweb Summer" and "My Blue Wave," from the western ballad of "Flick" to the nocturnal blues of "The Old Matchbook Trick" and "Caterpillar," from the intimate country of "I Can Hardly Spell My Name" and "Is A Woman" to the refined soul of "D. Scott Parsley."
These tracks are lost in the mists of time, appearing almost motionless and inert, slipping away one after the other. The emotions are definitely there. And Wagner confirms himself as a dark, seductive crooner, in the lineage of the best Cohen. But the risk for Lambchop is that they may have built a now perfect machine capable of traveling on its own without ever changing gears.

Welcome, by the way, to this gathering of debaserians! You have masterfully demonstrated how the importance we attribute to a work of art derives mainly from the personal moment we are experiencing; it's precisely this that can make our soul more or less permeable to certain emotions!
