Come on guys, come on, what's the problem if there are three hundred reviews on an album? It's nice to hear different descriptions and considerations about a particular record, maybe even very contrasting ones!

A diverse, intricate, strange, unpredictable album but all in full Wilsonian style!!! To be consumed with the ears!!!

Amazing and captivating live performance, there's no denying it, progressive is the best genre in all its nuances! It's the one that most succeeds in taking the listener on a journey, engaging them in an experience, making them feel a taste of true art! No ifs or buts! Seen live in Milan, the only thing you can do after watching them is admit your own shortcomings!!!

"After you've made an album like Absolution, you should take a good break and... reflect!" (quote from one of my cousins)

I totally agree, it's a show for pathetic losers who go there just to get noticed without having the slightest personality to offer. All the characters know how to do is screw, cry, and tear each other apart...

And anyone who watches it can only be someone like them!

Still a very immature album, the compositions are still a bit vague, the guitars are somewhat poorly set and cover the keyboards, and the production doesn’t highlight the band’s qualities well; a sufficient album and nothing more. Already with the second one, things improve significantly. However, I don't agree with the opening statement; for me, there were indeed standout tracks: In The Search Of Truth, Recreation Day, and Inner Circle are small masterpieces in the melodic power genre.

I have a bit of a soft spot for the Hogarth era of Marillion; I believe it deserves more attention as during this phase the band truly developed a very personal sound, while with Fish they mostly reinterpreted the classics in a more modern way. The album in question may not be one of their best, but I find it somewhat underrated because, although, as you say, it shows a lightening of the sound and a shift towards a more song-based format, it still retains a rather refined sound. Anyway, contrary to what you think, I find the Latin experiment of Hope For The Future to be quite successful.

The not-so-great phase, in my opinion, will come with Radiation (their worst) and Marillion.com.

Well, I don't really agree; I really like Barrett with the lead guitar, I find him very expressive and melodic! For me, his solos at the right moment pair perfectly with Clive Nolan's keyboards.
