Powerful and straightforward album, technical just enough. Overall I liked it even though it might be a bit too monotone. For me, they would have done well to continue the path taken with A Pleasant Shade of Grey, and it's a bit of a shame to have abandoned it, but if they come out with albums of such energy, that's more than fine!

Ahah guys, come on, are you really dedicating 50% of the comments to a phrase that was just meant as a comparison regarding the critical impact that the two entities have on the audience!

The comments are funny, I'm having fun too, but I wouldn't want a simple comparison to distract from my description of the album and the album itself! I’d love to hear more about the album too! :)

Well, the melodies that Blackfield has always accustomed us to are still there, and they are always beautifully touching, so I’d say it’s all good!

Blackfield is a non-pretentious soft-rock band that does its job excellently; you shouldn’t expect something monumental, otherwise, it’s obvious that you’ll be disappointed!
