daft85, in my opinion, the idiot is you. There are people who spend their afternoons at Mediaworld or Ricordi, glued to the listening kiosks, and they listen to the ENTIRE CD of Gigi D'Alessio or any other crap that's being sold at that moment...

Who the hell knows what you meant to say... It's okay that some can't even write in Italian, but throwing together a bunch of random words thinking you sound interesting and intellectual, maybe hoping someone from Rolling Stone or XL will read it and hire you as a contributor, seems subtly pretentious. Get off your high horse and tell us about the album, don’t overthink it!

Since we're at it, I'll jump into the fray as well... just because someone wrote (alleged masterpieces) 10, 20, or 30 years ago doesn’t mean they can write them today, and this is certainly the case for all the gentlemen mentioned above. I've had the chance to listen to Lorenzo in all his incarnations; back then I even bought 2 tapes (l'albero and capohorn), and I have NEVER been able to listen to one of his albums all the way through, not even when I was a kid and would drink in any nonsense... I even "procured" Safari, and there are maybe two or three passable songs. The rest is fluff.
And Vasco, just to mention, burned out after Liberi Liberi... That one you could listen to completely, again and again! The albums after that, what are they? Two or three passable songs (even nice ones, at times); the rest, you’ll have guessed, is fluff.

You’re right, jazzprog. The kid is good and deserves to be rewarded...

I'm an idiot... I wrote "reportage" twice in two lines.

not everyone finds them annoying, but many do. In the latest issue of XL (which, I emphasize, I bought solely for the article on Elio, which by the way sucks), there's a nice report by Nikki (remember him? he's bald now, but once had a massive head of hair and played the metalhead with songs written by Max Pezzali!!!) along with Linea77 on tour in the States, I don’t remember and I don’t even feel like going to read exactly where... Well, the reports on school trips that I wrote in elementary school were more fun and better written too.

I would gladly comment on the review in question, but unfortunately, I only fondly remember some songs from the Silencers during the times of A Blues for Buddha and Dance to the Holy Man; I must have watched the video on dear (and deceased) Videomusic hundreds of times. I still hum Scottish Rain and Answer Me today.
In less recent times, they had a singer who seemed to have come out of Amici di Maria; maybe the song was called I Can Feel It... Terrible. If the downward trend has continued, and the guy who sang and wrote hasn’t bounced back, this album would be a 2, but since I haven’t listened to it, I’ll refrain.

x Ziobestia: Maccio Capatonda (and not Marcio Capratonda) is a devoted reader of the prestigious magazine "Molluschi e Trattori," as well as a fervent fan of the famous singer Amedeo Mango.
...And Rupert Sciamenna is in the video, playing one of the "figli di troia."
