It seems to me that here on DeBaser people really enjoy having a good laugh at each other’s expense, or even heavily mocking one another. Dear Splinter, honestly, with 4 reviews already present, you could have skipped this one. You should know the site’s rules; if you don’t care about them, don’t get angry if you get insulted. For all that, I give a 1. That said, I like the album, I give it a 4.

Here’s a somewhat scholarly review, but the album is one of the few I know note for note, from start to finish: practically, a pillar of my youth. @Giudicewoodcock: I still haven't figured out if you're hiding behind a fake or what (which I find really sad), but why don't you try writing a review yourself, and then we'll see what comes of it.
@Templare: a perfectly respectable point of view, which I partly share as well, but the guys from Dream Theater are among the most dedicated and respectful of their fans out there. Sure, I’d probably be the same with those who pay my bills, but there are people far worse out there, both musically and personally, who act infinitely more conceited.

I like Dream Theater, but claiming that "Octavarium" or this one are masterpieces or perfect albums just doesn't hold up. There's nothing more exciting in here than "The Spirit Carries On"! The review feels fake to me...
